Education starts in the neighborhood

Cultural Project financed by Bucharest City Hall, through ARCUB, the Center of Cultural Projects of Bucharest.

In the fall of 2017, Arte dell’Anima Association organised the social project “Education starts in the neighborhood”, financed by Bucharest City Hall through ARCUB, the Centre of Cultural Projects of Bucharest, during the program “Bucharest- City of Participation 2017”. There was a free entry, based on reservations only.

The project included representations of the show “Bad Kids” by Mihaela Michailov, directed by Geanina Hergheligiu, followed by discussions with the artistic team involved: Ana-Maria Irimia, Raluca Juganaru and Alina Potop, and a debate with professor Ana-Maria Nistor on the theme of violence in schools and the educational purpose of theatre. Several questionnaires were completed on this subject.

The project’s purpose was to raise awareness on violence in all its forms and to involve the public from institutionalised environments, particularly sector 4, because the representations took place at the European Cultural Centre for UNESCO “Nicolae Bălcescu”, our trustworthy partner for this project.

“Education starts in the neighborhood” was a well-received project, which had an ample promovation, with the help of our media partners and not only: Gold FM, TVR 1, Canal 33, Radio Vocea Armatei, etc
